My objective for this ad was to create a magazine spot that included an image of the product packaging, so it would be recognizable to customers when they spot it on the store shelf.
I included the product image near the body copy, so that as consumers read about the product and its benefits, their eyes naturally glance over the product as well. Additionally, putting the image at the bottom as a secondary focus eases readers into accepting the marketing message, as opposed to featuring the product image as the main focus which creates a very in-your-face infomercial style to your marketing message.
The overall feel of the advertisement is relaxed, mimicking the feel the consumer will experience when they use the product. The headline and image of someone presumably using an icy hot patch work to drive this point home.
