The objective for this comp ad was to make a magazine ad featuring the brand logo, product packaging, and to identify the USP.
I identified the product’s USP as being restorative for color-treated hair, and drove this point using the headline and body copy. Aside from the required images I chose to include two women who I assumed to have healthy, color-treated hair. I thought including people in this ad was important because like many beauty products, consumers want to see the product in action so they know they can trust it, not just read about it or see the packaging. I grouped all the images at the bottom to prevent the ad from looking too busy, as it would with four different visuals in various locations. This also keeps a focus on the copy where consumers can read about the product benefits.
